Sober 11 years since 5/22/2005, in his first major talk, Alexander came into AA with a restraining order having nearly dueled it out with a S.W.A.T. team having only a shotgun.
"Nothing says love like a restraining order."
He grew up in an affluent, middle class home in the same area he lives now.
The message he came away with which was not the one conveyed, was that he was worthless.
Now he is heavily involved and is an asset in the recovery community.
