A little over two years before his death, AA's in New York gathered to celebrate the 34th Anniversary of Bill Wilson's sobriety (12/12/1934 - 1968). They start the meeting having Bill light a candle and passing it to the front table. From there it is passed around to all the other tables as a symbol of how AA had spread over those 34 years. Lois speaks for two minutes and then Bill delivers a talk that is a little out of the ordinary in its local focus. Many in the audience had heard his standard pitch. Here Bill mixes it up a bit for the hometown crowd.
