A surgeon and son of an alcoholic mom and dad, a doctor from Statesboro, GA. His mom and dad got sober prior to 1961 in AA. His dad was instrumental in the early days of the Atlanta Roundup as well as the growth of AA in middle Georgia. This talk is both a great talk on the recovery from the family disease of alcoholism and one that has a touch of the history of AA and Alateen in Georgia. He came into Al-anon in Kentucky 15 years after his qualifiers got sober.
