In Al-Anon 45 years since 7/8/1974, Susan says:
"I did not intend to stay here 45 years. I came in to find out what I needed to say and what I needed to do to keep him from drinking that crap and then we'd be all right and then I could get married."
The day she came in, there was a big crisis, that she can't remember what it was, and she could not do it anymore.
"It hurt to walk through the air. My fingernails hurt."
Where she went from there is a story well worth the listen including:
"I'm gllad there's not a slogan, 'Figure It Out'."
