In the Program some 33 years since 1982, 68 years old, originally in the program in Whitney, TX, Karen calls herself a Big Book Al-Anon.
She says an Al-Anon is a member who has a home group, a sponsor, attends meetings regularly and sponsors others.
She believes there will come a time in an AA or Al-Anon member's life when they will desperately need the 12 steps, but it will be too late to start working them.
They need to have them in their lives already.
Her 2nd husband, Bob, passed a year and a half before this event.
She tells a great story about how they met.
