Sober 13 years since 11/6/2002, Jottie was filling in for the scheduled speaker.
This was a blessing for him because of recent events in his family life.
He recently had to become the guardian of his adult child. Another was diagnosed with symptoms of a possible brain disorder. A grandchild started using Meth in Jottie's home.
He was the 4th of 5 children from the ghetto in Pontiac, MI. He was bused with the black kids to the white schools during desegregation and was living in Pontiac during the race riots of the 1960's.
