Sober 28 years since 4/8/1982, Judge Jack was the victim of a mail pipe bomb 12/22/1989.
He became a police officer because it allowed him to avoid DUIs and States Attorney because it gave him the power to change tickets even after they were written. Of course, being a judge had benefits as well.
He sometimes had men standing before his bench that he'd been drinking with the night before.
Jack died sober at age 70, July 31, 2012.
