Sober 7 years since 1/5/2012, Corey was born and raised til the age of thirteen in upper Michigan when his family moved to Marietta, GA.
He was out of control and defiant on many levels - stealing cars, shop lifting, using and drinking.
He was introduced to AA 26 years before his sobriety date.
He spent some ten years behind bars.
He knew how to do time - he did not handle being free very well.
He did the fellowship and learned to talk the talk but never did the Steps with a sponsor.
He chased the new women in the Program until he reached a point where he was miserable.
He shares how he was transformed in the 6th and 7th Steps after completing his 5th with his sponsor.
He has a very unique relationship to his ex-wife that required a deep level of love and tolerance.
He married a friend in AA and has a truly committed relationship, and partnership.
