A Chair and three pioneer members share their experience, strength and hope.
Chair: Oscar A. of Springfield, IL (who shares for about 10 minutes)
Ole L. of Dallas, TX - sober 9 years since 1946
Neely D. of Decatur, GA - sober 12 years since 1943 and one of the first female Delegate to the General Service Conference from 1952 to 1953 on Panel 2. Georgia was not a part of Panel 1 intentionally to provide continuity where on any year only half the Delegates would rotate out their two-year terms.
Joe D. of Brooklyn, NY - sober 8 years since 1947,
These are the second-generation roots of AA.
The recordings are very clear especially given the age of the recordings.
Listen to Neely D. in 1978 speaking to the Georgia State Service Assembly (GSSA) and still going strong 22 years later.
