Steps 10 and 11

This is one of the best talks in the WeJoy collection.

Sober 1 day short of 45 years, this talk was personally very important to me.

My mother was to die of cancer the following June. What he shared helped me decide not to plan my grief. The result was that she and I connected at a level we had never done before and we were always close.

Sandy focused on the spiritual axiom mentioned on page 90 in Step 10 of the 12 and 12.

When I am disturbed there is always at least one thing wrong with me - I am disturbed.

From this point I have two alternatives:
(1) If I am wrong - make amends
(2) If the other is wrong - forgive

He asks a great question: "Why do we always choose forgiveness last?"

Profound words he was to successfully put to the test in 2010 in astonishing, tragic and moving ways.
